This is a render of a basic 12" Axial Fan. It comes in many configurations, including a stand for portable usage.
The fan blades next to it is said to designed by my late father , Tan Geok San, back in the 70's. They are the same except that it is cut into different diameter. It was in production in batches till his passing in 1987. It is suitable for 10" to 14" axial fans, though I am sure I see smaller than that.
We supplied this fan mainly to local shipyards and regional countries. In the 80's, we received an order to supplied dozens for SMRT during tunneling. Other usage including using as exhaust fan in coffee shops.
My role? I help in fabricating the casing through rolling, welding and drilling. I also align and fasten the motor =)
